Townsend Letter:
Phytotherapy Review and Commentary Index

Ginkgo biloba leaves in the fall at Bloedel Conservatory, Vancouver, BC
This is an index to the "Phytotherapy Review and Commentary" column from various versions of the Townsend Letter. The published index for the entire journal is available here. I have altered it by using Latin names and technical medical language and doing more cross-referencing.

It must be noted that the Townsend Letter contains a substantial amount of blatant product promotion (including placement of ads for the company authors work for, but rarely discloses, right next to or even inside the article), advertising masquerading as science, does not require authors to disclose their conflicts of interest (further exacerbating the product promotion problem), highly questionable/outright wrong material (HIV denialism and worse), anti-scientific nonsense (anti-vaccine and many other conspiracy theories), never prints retractions (when various previously published crap is clearly demonstrated to be wrong), and has some pretty serious issues with diversity, equity, and inclusion (in terms of staff, writers, and who is portrayed on its cover and in its pages). The information in the Phytotherapy Review and Commentary sections suffer much less from these problems, except for the lack of conflict of interest disclosures and low diversity in authorship.

Latin names are retained as they were at the time of publication.
